Service Oriented Architecture is probably the hottest topic today in the IT World. Inthis section I will discuss what SOA is, what old problems it solves and which new ones are created.

XML is a relatively old technology that is at the cornerstone of many of the hot new technologies that everyone is talking about. Without XML there would be no SOA, AJAX or even xForms. Therefore, a thorough understanding of XML is required before any of these topics can be covered.
